Since there were no programs to follow the league decided on five original rules.
  1. Every player bats once each inning

  2. All base runners are safe

  3. Every player scores a run before the inning is over (last one up gets a home run).

  4. Community children and volunteers serve as "buddies" to assist the players.

  5. Each team and each player wins every game.

The Rockdale Youth Baseball Association formed the Miracle League in 1998. The league started with 35 players.

By 1999 the league grew to over 50 players.

By Spring 2002 over 250 players filled Miracle League rosters.

 

Currently there are 175 plus Miracle League Organizations across the country.

70 have completed rubberized field.

There 100 plus fields under construction.

The League is international with Puerto Rico being one of the newest members.

The leagues immediate goal is to have 500 plus Miracle League fields.

Several international locations.

Serve approximately 1.3 million children.
