While the new T-ball field is being constructed future plans are to convert the playing surface to a synthetic material.  This material will cover the infield and outfield.  This fielding surface will provide a surface that is both safer and easier for the Miracle League and T-ball age children. An example of the field is on the right.

Thanks to a very generous donation from the Glades Electric Community Foundation.  The support of the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners.  The support of the Lake Placid Recreation Commission. The support of the Lake Placid Town Council.  The hard work of many individuals.  The Miracle League of Lake Placid will begin construction on the synthetic turf field that will enhance the playing experience for the athletes of the Miracle League.

Construction will begin in the winter/ early spring of 2009.
